Located a few kilometres to the east of the town of Roskilde and approximately 30 kilometres west of the Danish capital, Copenhagen, the University is the daily place of work for around 8000 students, 700 researchers and lecturers as well as 250 technical/administrative staff in the 50 buildings which comprise the campus.
Registration / Information desk
The desk will be open during the following hours:
Thursday September 27 10:00–12:00 at Comwell Congress Center, 13:30–18:30 at Roskilde University, Foyer
Friday September 28 09:00–18:00 at Roskilde University, Foyer
Saturday September 29 09:30–10:30 at Lund University, Palaestra
Language
The conference will be conducted in English.
Insurance and liability
Neither the organisers, nor Roskilde University take any responsibility for injury or damage involving persons or property during the conference. Participants are advised to take out their own health and travel insurance.
Bank and currency exchange
A cash point is available at Roskilde University, Visa-card is accepted at hotels and shops.
Currency & Exchange rates
The Danish currency is Kroner (DKK). At the moment (May 07) one US$ equals approximate DKK 5.48. One Euro (€) equals DKK 7,45. One Pound equals DKK 10,91.
Car parking
It is possible to park at the venue (Roskilde University). Please notice parking is only allowed where indicated by blue park signs.
Climate
Denmark has a temperate climate. The average temperature during the period is approximately 12°-16°C. at daytime and 5° – 9° during night. September is often a month with sunshine but, be prepared for occasional showers.
Passport & visa
Denmark is a member of the European Union. A visa is required for citizens of some countries. Please consult the Danish Embassy or Consulate in your country.

By car
From Copenhagen
Take motorway 21 towards Roskilde. Exit at no. 9 (Trekroner/Hedehusene V). Follow the signs to “Roskilde Universitetscenter RUC'.
From Holbæk, Ringsted, Korsør
Take motorway 21 towards Roskilde. Exit at No. 10 (Roskilde Ø/Hedehusene) Follow the signs to Roskilde Universitetscenter RUC.
By train
Roskilde University is located near Trekroner Station: From Trekroner Station you can see a dormitory (the multi-coloured building) and the university behind it. The university is within a walking distance of 10 minutes.
From Copenhagen
A single ticket for the train between Copenhagen Central Station and Trekroner Station costs about DKK 60. The train ride from Copenhagen to Trekroner Station takes approximately 25 minutes - make sure that the train stops at Trekroner Station not all trains for Roskilde do!
From Roskilde
A single ticket for the train between Roskilde Station and Trekroner Station costs about DKK 17. The train ride from Roskilde to Trekroner Station takes approximately 5 minutes.
By bus
From Roskilde
Bus no. 223E and 604.
A single ticket for the bus between Roskilde Station and Roskilde University costs about DKK17. The bus ride takes approximately 15 minutes.
